Discover how to quickly navigate through your log when using large log files.
When we are working with big log files in ASIC verification debug, even the most advanced editor tools often do not support loading such big files. Even if we are able to open them in editors using command lines, we often have to resort to using grep command and searching for terms of interest for our debug.
This process is inefficient because we cannot grasp so much data, and we can remember only a couple of the last iterations. Also, it is hard to conclude where the problem is if we use this method. It is very hard to quickly navigate through your log file.
Watch the video below to see how in Cogita, we simply load the file and according to the search term, we can create a player. By setting the height, we can easily see the data trend, min-max values, understand the test scenario, gaps between transactions or print messages.

So instead of trying to find and remember data, Cogita gives us the ability to focus on problems with debug, and put out effort into finding the root cause of the error.
