The macro can be called at the start of a test. The delay between the signals will be monitored until the end of the test and will be stored in the result variable. This variable can be sampled at any time from anywhere outside the macro, and its value can be used in further calculations. For example, if the coverage plan requires to cover different delays between these two signals, we can sample the result every time a change of any of the two signals occurs:
