Project Scope

  • The ASIC included ARM CPU, DSP, proprietary CPU, NoC, algorithmic imaging system, numerous peripherals and IPs.
  • Vtool did the chip architecture, detailed block-level design, RTL implementation, veri!cation in Specman-e.
  • Worked closely with ASIC backend provider.
  • Complete responsibility over ISO-26262 safety related processes (ASIL-B). Worked with safety auditors and client’s safety team. Complete cycle of safety related design: Dual-Lock-Step processors, TMR registers, MBIST, LBIST, ECC on memories and interconnect.

  • The modem included a MAC, PHY and analog frontend, several CPUs, custom-built NoC, and complex datapath chains
